Protection against psychics

I haven't really celebrated Halloween this year. I think it has something to do with the fact that I wear a tiara pretty much all of the time. I want to marry a ninja. That & the fact that I'm also Lorelai Gilmore every day. So, I'll spend tomorrow kicking anyone in the shin who asks me why I didn't dress up while I eat insane amounts of candy because that's the one part of Halloween that I do celebrate. If the kicking doesn't deter people, I'll just reply that I'm an undercover cop. It works every year.

I always go back & forth on the subject of psychics. I learned in psychology that psychics just use general terms that could apply to anyone. Then I see someone like Sylvia Brown or John Edwards & think great googly moogly they talk to dead people. There's a new reality show on Lifetime about psychics that I laughed at. There's also a new show with a psychic named Lisa someone or other. Yes, specific I know. She may or may not have supernatural powers. Is that the right term? Is it politically correct? I figure that psychics are pretty much the worst people to upset because they can stop everything good from happening to you. So if I use the wrong term psychics everywhere will be tackling me as soon as I buy that winning lottery ticket. Yet another reason why I need to date a ninja, psychic protection.

Anyways, Lisa something or other was walking in a gutted out dirty basement with rotting wood beams & a dirt floor. She said, "I have a bad feeling about this place". Do ya think? You have a bad feeling about the spookiest cellar imaginable? What are your thoughts on psychics great googly moogly or no?

"great googly moogly" is the best expression ever.

Psychics - I guess I think most of them are frauds... but there's probably some that can actually do what they say they can - and I don't want to have anything to do with them!

I actually don't know how I feel about psychics. When I hear that the police are using them, I'm sort of impressed, but then I see the reality shows and I think...oh brother!

Great googly moogly is definitely classy.

I have to laugh. I went to this well known Boston hot spot for psychics. There was one woman there that people swore had a real gift. I, however, got some sexually confused guy who very much did NOT have any gift. Not even for making those general observations. He totally misread the book cover that is me. He pegged me for a lesbian (happens quite often) and then tried to skew a "reading" in that direction. It was very comical as he tried to convince me I was in love with my female boss.

Here...I have a reading for you. I'm sensing that you like to express yourself. I'm sensing you like to write...or no...to TYPE. Yes. That's it. And I'm sensing that you are royalty. Yes, I can see it clearly now. You are a PRINCESS!!

See? I have powers!!!!

I actually went to one once about 7 years ago. He told me that 2 men would propose to me and I'd have to choose between them. He also said I'd have 2 kids (one boy, one girl) within the next 2 years. I'm about 5 years overdue for my 2 proposals and 2 children...

I've seen that Lisa person though. I'm a bit split on my decision about her...

You could always dress up as The Great Googly Moogly! :)

Okay, I have to confess...when I first read your post, I thought you wrote, "I'm not sure how I feel about PHYSICS..." Which made me think, "I'm not sure it matters how we feel about science...it's just sort of there..." Then I went back and read more carefully :)

I think there are some psychics that have genuine spiritual gifts, but the spirits they're connecting with aren't good. So while some may be able to tell you stuff that's true, it comes with a sort of icky feeling at the end, even if it should be good news.

On the whole, I'd rather just talk to God. The odds of it working out well seem higher :)
