New Worst Idea Ever

I don't watch the news a lot. I read the news, it's more romantic that way. I think it's because most of the new newscasters yell all the time. I just can't take it when Nancy Grace says things like "My gut tells me that..." That is not news. So I made the mistake of tuning into CNN Live last night. Instead of news they were having the anchor person read comments live from their blog. He couldn't even finish a single one because of all the grammar errors/inappropriate comments.

Seriously? Who thought that was a good idea? That should never have made it out of the boardroom. I mean that should never even have been said. That's the kind of thing that you might go to say but then a filter stops you saying "Oh yeah that's the worst idea ever. Let's not do that."

It's a step above reading the ingredients off the Twinkie package. Actually, no it's not. I'd be more interested in seeing if anyone can pronounce the ingredients in a Twinkie than I'd be in an audioblog.

But you gotta love news you can abuse.

Yeah. Bad idea. Unless, of course, they read comments from YOUR blog. :)

Even our forefathers knew the dangers of opening the doors to the opinions of Joe Q Public. I imagine that was behind the Electoral College. Maybe we need a blogger Electoral College to blog FOR some people. HAR!

i can't stand nancy grace, she always interrupts people in the midst of her righteous indignation. it's annoying. and then she cries. i need my newscaster to be a bit more emotionally stable.

I gotta admit, I hate the yelling! And the 'debates' that involve the show host railroading over the guest with various interruptions and ever-increasing volume.

But my big pet peeve is, "We're reporting to you live from..." Nine times out of ten, it's a dark parking lot where NOTHING is happening. Why the live???

Whew! Glad to get that out of my system. :)

In the California school system, students learn the difference between fact and opinion around 2nd grade. Maybe I have my youngest give CNN a call. ;)
