Should I get Married?

Ok, before you get any ideas, does that really seem like a question I would ask? No, it does not. However, according to statcounter most of the search engine traffic I get to this blog is along the lines of:

Should I get married?
Too picky marriage (I don't think I'm too picky. It's just that I annoy easily, & I want to date/marry someone I actually like)
Girls who never date or get married. (Mom? Why are you searching for my blog?)

I don't know exactly what I said to have literally dozens of people a week coming to my blog searching for the answer to one of the most important life questions.
So, I've devised a few helpful steps to walk any seekers through this question.

Step 1: Is there someone who wants to marry you? If so proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Do you like this person? They don't necessarily have to be that long list of things you had in mind for a soul mate. I used to be set on only dating men who spoke Spanish & played guitar. I once heard a story about a guy who always picked up a present for his future bride on every trip he went on. So when he finally met "the one" he could say that he'd always been thinking of her even when he didn't know who she was. For awhile this was on my list as well because who wouldn't love all those presents? I probably missed out on some potential mates because of they weren't tall, didn't have dark hair, or didn't go to graduate school. Now, I just want a ninja who acts like Luke from Gilmore Girls. Honestly, I've narrowed the list down to "Someone who is nice to me". Still impossible to find. Ok, considering you actually like this person who wants to marry you, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Are you in love with this person, or are you just in love with being in love? It's easy to be caught up in the idea of a wedding. Especially when all of your friends are getting married, or have gotten married. I'm in this stage, & sometimes I get lonely. Then I think about how guys leave dirty socks on the floor & I get over it. Besides, we've all been planning our weddings since we were 4 right? I'm going to have this cake topper:

Ask yourself if you are really seeing the idea of being with this person every single day, or your just seeing the cool ninja wedding cake topper. If you are in love with this person, proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Carefully consider why you are asking a search engine whether you should get married & then reading an article by someone named Sarakastic. My first reaction was if you are asking a search engine this, you really shouldn't get married. My Mom always said that you should think the person you are marrying is the very best person in the whole world, out of everyone you know & everyone you haven't met. That's a lot of people. However, I'll make some allowances for cold feet here.

I think it's safe to say that I won't be getting married for awhile, so please don't steal my cake topper. Actually, someone already used that one, but I'll put a little tiara on the bride.

I've been such a bag blogger lately and you posted this a while ago, but I just have to say I laughed and laughed while reading this. I'm sure my coworkers were wondering what was wrong with me.
