Scenes from my childhood

New Year's Eve, a day of introspection & looking towards the future. Wow, that was a pretty boring opening sentence, but keep reading, I've got gold in here... promise. It's also a day to look at the past. Really, I am getting somewhere. I grew up with four brothers & no sisters. A lot of people will talk about the glass ceiling, & I will agree to some extenet. However, there are times when being a girl in a man's world rocks, case in point. Basically my entire life from age four to well now, was spent kicking my brothers & then going "ha ha you can't kick me, I'm a girl". Good times, good times.

My brother would have totally kicked me back, and likely I'd have been the only one to get in trouble...I'm the middle child.

I've heard great things about this blog--love the color!

I was a star on my junior high soccer team under that same theory - i'd ram into the boy with the ball, then fly down the field through the other boys who couldn't ram into me because their mothers were watching. Good times.

Unfortunately when you grow up the rules of engagement change quite a bit, but it would be nice if they didn't :)

I have a feeling that I would've grown up being bullied if I'd had that many brothers (or any brothers at all).

I have three brothers, and I used that excuse too. Of course, as soon as my mom would turn, they'd sneak in a shove anyway.

I grew up with four brothers, too! Didn't stop them from kicking the **** out of ME though!
I also have three sisters who are all older than me. But they were too busy looking for boyfriends to even know what was going on!
