Dear Santa 2008,

Last year I asked you to keep robotic lawn mowers away from me & so far so good. Thank you for that. I need another favor. The first really scary movie I ever watched was called Critters. I think the tag line was "Don't feed or water them after midnight."

I really don't remember what the movie was about, just that it was scary. So imagine my horror a few years later when I walked down the toy aisle & saw this:

People told me "It's just a movie, or it's just a creepy possessed robot thing. They can not hurt you." Fine, I am a survivor.

Apparently scientists have found a real life furby called a pygmy tarsier. I am not posting the picture because it is unbelievably scary. Scientists thought that this species had been extinct for the past 70 years. It is not. Thank you science.

Now Santa, I would never ever ask you to make something extinct. I am a friend to all creatures, unless it's a stupid boy. Just please Santa, keep these things far, far away from me.

Sincerely,
I was seriously awesome this year

"I actually broke my fibula walking around there," she told msnbc.com.

You know, why can't Anthropologists talk like Normal People?

Example #1:

Antrhopologist: "I fractured my fibula."

Normal Person: "I broke my freakin' leg."

Example #2:

Anthropologist: "I am currently experiencing somatosensory pain in the postcentral gyrus of my parietal lobe."

Normal Person: "I have a freakin' headache."

As you can see, Normal People incorporate the word "freakin'" much more often than Anthropologists, which, scientifically speaking, clearly indicates that Normal People are way cooler than Antrhopologists.

Ohh you're right Virginia maybe I watched Gremlins instead. Whichever one looks like a furby when it is not possessed.

EW THAT IS HORRIFYING.

wtf is the evolutionary path of a furby? from fish to furby?

nasty.

I think that's a totally reasonable thing to ask for.

Gosh, you're right, that's terrifying.

That picture was very disturbing. I watched part of Gremlins for the first time in probably 15 years Friday night. Talk about freaky!

Glad to report that the scary creature is not on any of my kid's lists!
